Do I need a Mimeeq account to use the plugin?
Yes, you need an active Mimeeq subscription. Contact the Mimeeq team for setup help and to choose a plan.
Can I translate my configurator's content?
Yes — this is done from your Mimeeq Dashboard (not from WordPress), where you can translate the product-related content shown inside the configurator itself.
How do I hide custom products from my WooCommerce collections?
You don't need to do anything — products created from a customer's configuration are automatically made private, so they never show up in your shop listings, search results, or category pages. If you ever needed to filter them out of a custom query for some other reason, they're also automatically tagged mimeeq-custom, which you can filter by.
What happens if a price changes while a customer is configuring a product?
The customer sees the current, live price. If a price changes between visits, Mimeeq handles this on its own by retiring the old product and generating a fresh one with the updated price the next time it's needed.
How does Mimeeq handle sales tax in WooCommerce?
Mimeeq itself doesn't deal with tax — it simply passes the configured price through to WooCommerce. Whether tax is shown included or added on top is entirely controlled by your normal WooCommerce tax settings, exactly as it would be for any other product.
What currencies are supported?
Any major currency, set up from your Mimeeq Dashboard. To actually display different currencies to different customers on your storefront, you'll need WPML Multi-Currency (or an equivalent WooCommerce multi-currency setup) — see Multi-Currency & Multi-Market (WPML).
Can I use WPML and multi-currency features?

Why doesn't the product image show up right away in the cart?
On WooCommerce, it normally does — the configured image is attached to the product the moment it's added to the cart, so there's no waiting involved. If you notice a delay in your specific setup, it's worth checking for caching or image-optimization plugins that might be holding things up, rather than assuming it's expected behavior.
Do WooCommerce discount codes work with Mimeeq products?
Yes. Regular WooCommerce coupons work with both automatically-tagged Mimeeq products (mimeeq-custom) and with existing WooCommerce products that have a Mimeeq configuration attached. See Discount Codes for the extra care needed with bundles.
Can I customize how the configurator looks?
Two options:
- Adjust it yourself using your Mimeeq Dashboard's translation/customization tools, plus your own CSS
- Ask the Mimeeq team about custom interface development
Does the plugin support right-to-left (RTL) layouts?
Not out of the box — RTL support would need custom interface development through Mimeeq.
Will the configurator slow down my website?
Usually not noticeably. If you're using the Mimeeq Advanced Button block, only a small script loads up front, and the full 3D configurator only loads once a customer actually clicks the button. If you embed the configurator directly and inline on the page instead, it loads in full as soon as the page does.
How do I stop Mimeeq products from turning up in search results?
You don't need to do anything for this either — since they're created as private products, they're already excluded from search and from your shop's product listings by default.
What happens if the Mimeeq API can't be reached?
The plugin handles this gracefully: the failed attempt is automatically recorded in the Error Recovery Center, an email goes out if you've set up notifications for it, and the customer sees an on-screen notification rather than a silent failure.
