# Basket Settings

Control what your Basket shows and who receives submissions. Learn how to set primary details, choose form fields and add recipient emails.

Set up the details that appear on Basket confirmations, the fields customers fill in and the people who receive each submission.

Go to **Settings** → **Basket** to set up your Basket. There are three tabs: **Primary Settings**, **Email & PDF** and **Pricing Rules**. This article covers **Primary Settings**. For the other tabs, see [Customise basket emails and PDFs](/commerce-and-integrations/mimeeq-basket/basket-emails-and-pdfs.md) and [Pricing Rules](/commerce-and-integrations/mimeeq-basket/pricing-rules.md).

## Primary settings

Add key details such as the submission display name, logo and website URL in the **Primary Settings** tab.

<table><thead><tr><th width="55.5234375">#</th><th>Name</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>1</td><td><strong>Submission Display Name</strong></td><td>Sets the name shown in email and PDF confirmations for the Basket submission. For example, Order, Quote Request or Inquiry.</td></tr><tr><td>2</td><td><strong>Logo</strong></td><td>Displays your logo at the top of email and PDF confirmations.</td></tr><tr><td>3</td><td><strong>Website URL</strong></td><td>Displays your website address in the header of email and PDF confirmations, so users can return to your site.</td></tr><tr><td>4</td><td><strong>Contact URL</strong></td><td>Links to your contact form, or any other web page or action URL you prefer, such as your live chat.</td></tr><tr><td>5</td><td><strong>View Basket Online URL</strong></td><td>Sets the URL where customers can view their Basket online.</td></tr></tbody></table>

For best results, set the **View Basket Online URL** as follows:

* Link to a page where your configurator with basket is enabled.
* Make sure the page includes the basket embed code. See [Embed the basket on your website](/commerce-and-integrations/mimeeq-basket/basket-website-embed.md).
* If no URL is provided, a default Mimeeq URL is used.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The basket cannot initialise if the embed code is missing from the linked page.
{% endhint %}

## Form settings

Choose which fields appear on the Basket submission form to control the information you collect from customers. These system fields are included by default:

* **Full Name** (always active and required)
* **Email** (always active and required)
* **Phone Number**
* **Company Name**
* **Address**
* **Order Notes**

{% hint style="info" %}
You can also create custom fields to include in the Basket form. For instructions, see [Custom Fields](/platform/custom-fields/custom-fields.md).
{% endhint %}

**Full Name** and **Email** are always required and visible. You can toggle the remaining fields on or off as needed. Drag and drop custom fields to change their order; they appear in the form in the order you set.

Each field has a **Source** tag:

* **System:** default fields provided by Mimeeq, used for basic customer information.
* **Custom:** fields you have created to capture additional data unique to your workflow.

The **Form Settings** section also includes these settings for handling submissions:

<table><thead><tr><th width="54.453125">#</th><th>Name</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>1</td><td><strong>Automatically Create New Contact</strong></td><td>When enabled, a contact is created based on the email used. If a contact already exists for that email, it is not created again.</td></tr><tr><td>2</td><td><strong>Require Email Double Entry</strong></td><td>Requires customers to enter their email twice for confirmation. Useful to prevent typing mistakes.</td></tr><tr><td>3</td><td><strong>Send Confirmation Email to Submitter</strong></td><td>Sends a confirmation email upon submission.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you turn **Send Confirmation Email to Submitter** off, you need to manage confirmations yourself. We suggest subscribing to a webhook and sending your own email confirmation with Zapier, Make or another automation platform. See [Webhooks](/developer-guides/webhooks.md).
{% endhint %}

The image below shows a Basket form with system and custom fields arranged according to the order and visibility settings.

## Emails to send requests to

Add the company email addresses that receive each Basket submission, for example <sales@yourdomain.com>. At least one email is required, but you can add as many as you need so all relevant contacts receive the request.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.mimeeq.com/commerce-and-integrations/mimeeq-basket/basket-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
