These prices typically appear crossed out next to the current price, creating the familiar "~~Was $X,~~ Now $Y" pricing display that customers recognize and respond to. Compare prices work for both standard products and modular products. **Example:** ~~$2,000~~ $1,500 {% hint style="warning" %} Previously, the "Promo" price list setting served only as an identification tag without affecting pricing calculations. Navigate to **Price Lists** in your Mimeeq admin panel 2. Create a new price list or edit an existing one 3. Scroll to the **Price Type** section #### Step 2: Set the Price Type Select the appropriate type for each of your price lists. In the Price Type field, you'll see two options: * **Standard**: Use for regular pricing (non-promotional) * **Promo:** Use to enable the compare price feature {% hint style="info" %} Example: You can create a promotional price list with a 20% discount for a Black Friday campaign. Go to **Settings** → **Public Price List Groups** 2. Create or edit a Public Price List Group 3. Navigate to your **Embed Template** 2. Select the price list group containing both standard and promotional price lists 3. Save your embed template ## How Pricing Display Works ### With Both Price Types When you have both standard and promotional price lists assigned: * The **Promo Price** displays as the current price * The **Standard Price** displays as the crossed-out compare price * Example: ~~$500~~ $400 ### Multiple Price Lists If multiple price lists of the same type are assigned: * The system selects the **lowest price** from each type * Example: If you have two promotional price lists ($450 and $400), the system uses $400 ### Standard Price Lists Only If only standard price lists are assigned: * The system displays the lowest price as usual * No compare price is shown ### Promo Price Lists Only If only promotional price lists are assigned: * The system displays the lowest promo price * No compare price is shown ## Modular Products Compare prices are also supported for **modular products**. Navigate to **Price Lists** 2. Select your price list 3. Go to the **Companies** tab 4. Assign specific companies to this price list #### Method 2: From Company to Price Lists 1. Navigate to **Companies** 2. Select the company 3. Go to the **Price Lists** tab 4. Assign both standard and promotional price lists {% hint style="info" %} Either method will enable the compare price feature for those specific companies. {% endhint %} ## Best Practices 1. **Ensure Promotional Prices are Lower**: Always set promotional prices lower than standard prices to avoid confusing displays like ~~$400~~ $500 2. **Review Your Price Lists**: All existing price lists previously marked as "Promo" have been automatically changed to "Standard" with the new release. Review your price lists and update any that should be promotional to the new "Promo" type 3. **Test Before Publishing**: Preview your configurator to verify the compare prices display correctly before making changes live ## Troubleshooting Compare price not showing? * Verify you have both standard and promotional price lists in your price list group * Check that the promotional price list has "Promo" selected as the Price Type * Ensure the price list group is assigned to your embed template * **Check the valid period dates** on your price lists (promotional and standard) - expired price lists won't display ## Need Help?
