# Admin Panel Overview

Find your way around the Admin Panel. Learn what each main section is for, what the Products list shows and how to switch to the Business Panel.

The Admin Panel is where you set up your products and the resources they share: option sets, pricing data, 3D content, media, users and account settings. Use this overview to find your way around before you start setting up products.

## Main navigation

The toolbar at the top of the Admin Panel gives you access to these sections:

<table data-header-hidden="false" data-header-sticky><thead><tr><th width="180">Section</th><th>What it is for</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Products</strong></td><td>Create and manage your products, including products added from shared product groups. ## Products list

The **Products** list is the main page of the Admin Panel. It shows all your products in a table that you can search and filter by its columns.

Most columns show fields from each product's **General** tab, such as **Name**, **Display Name**, **Variant Code**, **Status**, **Privacy** and **Visible in Menu**. See [General product settings](/configurator/product-setup/general-product-settings.md) for what each one does.

The list also shows:

* **Type:** Whether the product uses a 2D or 3D configurator.
* **Mode:** Standard, Modular, Component or Hybrid Modular. See [Product Types](/configurator/getting-started/product-types-and-limits.md).
* **Shared:** Whether the product belongs to a shared product group and is shared with another customer. See [Sharing as Owner](/configurator/sharing-products/sharing-as-owner.md).
* **Created date**, **Created by**, **Modified date** and **Modified by:** When the product was created and last changed, and by whom.

### Product actions

From the **Products** list you can also:

* Create a new product.
* Add a product from the shared product library, if products have been shared with you. See [Sharing as Partner](/configurator/sharing-products/sharing-as-partner.md).
* Copy the embed code for the product list. See [Embed Types](/configurator/embeds-and-translations/embed-types.md).
* Open **Trash** to view and restore deleted products. See [Trash](/platform/trash.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.mimeeq.com/configurator/getting-started/admin-panel-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
