## Colour Picker

A new colour picker widget lets customers choose custom colours for connected materials.

## Faster data grids

The option editing data grid now supports inline editing, quick bulk edits, better search and mobile layouts.

### Improvements

* You can now change the VAT and tax text in the quote footer for each quote.
* Embed templates now have a separate name and ID, so renaming a template doesn't break embed scripts. The grid also shows who created and modified each template.
* You can now search and reorder option blocks.
* You can now hide an option from the option panel but still show it in the cart and PDF, and control it with rules.
  {% endupdate %}

## Updated configurator interface

This release refreshes the configurator on desktop and mobile. All configurators now use UI version 2, and the UI SDK is fully released, so you can build custom UIs without depending on the core Mimeeq UI.

### New features

* The mobile header now shows the product name.
* Zoom in and zoom out icons are now in the lower right corner of the canvas.
* Embed templates have new Highlight Groups and Open Groups theme options.
* A progress loader now shows while a PDF is generated.
* Dynamic group previews can now use a second preview option.

### Improvements

* Desktop quick icons now match mobile, including full screen, and **Zoom All** sits above the zoom controls.
* Tooltips have been modernised and hide when you scroll on mobile.
* Mobile has fewer animations and a smaller header, leaving more space for the product.
* The favourites widget has been updated.
* The filter widget now opens expanded by default and scrolls to the selected option more reliably.
* Hotspots no longer cover the whole screen on mobile.
* Clickable meshes no longer trigger when you meant to move the view.
* The extra menu on mobile is hidden when the quick icons already cover its options.
* Group and option spacing has been improved, and the number widget shows a tooltip for values over ten characters.
  {% endupdate %}

## SKU codes on the modular summary screen

### Fixes

* Fixed an issue where the item SKU code didn't show on the modular configurator summary screen.

*Included in Mimeeq version 7.2.1.*
{% endupdate %}

## Min, Max, Average and All price groups

Price groups now have four types: **Min**, **Max**, **Average** and **All**. For example, if a chair has two parts in different materials, use **Max** to price it at the higher of the two price groups, instead of creating a price code for every combination.

## Hybrid modular configurator

The new hybrid modular configurator loads separately managed components into a parent configurator through dynamic connections. Update a component once and the change appears in every parent configurator that uses it.

## Animations

You can now import animations in your 3D model files (GLB), including armatures and shape keys. Rules can play animations when a mesh, hotspot or option is clicked, between set frames, at different speeds, forwards or backwards, once or on a loop.

## Clickable meshes and hotspots

Customers can now click or hover over meshes and hotspots. Clicking can open a group, select an option, play an animation or move the camera, and hotspots can show tooltips.

## More rules

* Dynamic mesh visibility can now be conditional.
* Actions can run on desktop, mobile or both, and on first load, after it or always.
* The Auto Rotate rule turns camera rotation on and off, with control over speed and when it stops.
* A new rule flips or rotates meshes on the fly, for example a door handle.
* An **Always on** trigger runs rules on any option change.
* The Sync options rule can match options by ID or by code.

### Improvements

* The camera now moves smoothly when zooming to fit the product or to a custom position. You can set the speed or turn this off.
* Configurators now support more than 10,000 meshes, with filters to help you manage them.
* The product pricing tab now shows which price lists a product belongs to.
* **Zoom All** now resets panning first.
* You can now pick the poly model for both desktop and mobile.
  {% endupdate %}

{% update date="2022-11-07" tags="improvement" %}

## Faster product lists

Product lists in the Business Panel and embeds now load faster, even with more than 1,000 products, and changes appear straight away without clearing the cache.
{% endupdate %}
{% endupdates %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.mimeeq.com/changelog/mimeeq-app/2024-and-earlier.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
