# Price Lists

Read and manage the price lists in your Mimeeq account. Use these endpoints to connect an external pricing system, maintain fixed-price rows, or configure calculated and linked lists.

### Price list modes

| Mode         | Purpose                                                                       |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `FIXED` | Store explicit recommended retail and sale prices by price code and quantity. |
| `CALCULATED` | Configure pricing calculations for a selected market and scope. |
| `LINKED` | Base a list on another price list, with its own calculation settings. |

Each mode has a different request shape. Use the schema for the mode you are creating or updating.

### What you can do

| Task                                          | Operation                                                                                           |
| --------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Find existing lists                           | [List Price Lists](https://help.mimeeq.com/developers/price-lists/list-price-lists)                 |
| Read settings, prices, and attached companies | [Get Price List](https://help.mimeeq.com/developers/price-lists/get-price-list) |
| Add a fixed, calculated, or linked list | [Create Price List](https://help.mimeeq.com/developers/price-lists/create-price-list) |
| Replace a list's general configuration        | [Update Price List](https://help.mimeeq.com/developers/price-lists/update-price-list)               |
| Replace the rows in a fixed-price list        | [Update Price List Prices](https://help.mimeeq.com/developers/price-lists/update-price-list-prices) |

Your API key needs `priceLists:read` to read lists, or `priceLists:write` to create or update them.

### Updating a price list

Read the existing list before changing it. General updates replace the applicable configuration for the selected mode; send the complete required field set. The `mode` field can also change the list's mode.

> **Replacing fixed prices replaces every row.** Include all rows you want to retain. Sending `codes: []` clears the fixed-price rows.

Use the [Companies](https://help.mimeeq.com/developers/companies) endpoints to manage company price-list assignments.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.mimeeq.com/api/price-lists.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
